Ingredients and method

This very easy dessert is ideal if you are short of time and want to impress.
The ingredients are simple.
1 sweet cake roll filled with the cream of your choice
Ice cream
Take a dome-shaped bowl and line it with cling film.
Use a good-quality filled cake roll, or make your own.
Cut it into 1 cm slices and use them to line the whole bowl.
Choose a tub of ice cream that goes well with the filling in the roll.
I made stracciatella ice cream at home. Fill the mould, pressing the ice cream down firmly.
Once filled, cover with cling film and put in the freezer.
When ready to serve, turn out onto a serving plate, remove the cling film and decorate as you wish.
This dessert is complicated if made entirely from scratch, but very easy if you buy the ingredients and simply assemble them.
