In this heat my ice cream maker is always working. I often make custard or fruit ice creams. With this banana version I also made little ice lollies, which children and adults love. Always choose ripe fruit: it will be sweeter.

- Step 1 of 7
I set the ice cream maker to cooling mode. Meanwhile I peel the bananas and coat them with the squeezed lemon juice.

- Step 2 of 7
I put the bananas, sugar and milk in the blender jug.

- Step 3 of 7
I blend very well.

- Step 4 of 7
I set the timer for 25 minutes, press the paddle button, add the mixture and cover.

- Step 5 of 7
After 25 minutes I check it. If soft and aerated, I remove it from the machine; if still too soft, I leave it another 5 minutes. Then either keep it in a box in the freezer or put it in ice cream moulds.

- Step 6 of 7
When frozen, I remove them from the moulds. For an even more indulgent version, melt dark chocolate and coat them.

- Step 7 of 7
I keep them individually in food bags.
