I have many persimmons and am experimenting: ring cake with chocolate chips, jam and now dried persimmons. My home dehydrator also handles all kinds of fruit and vegetables. Many reasonably priced models exist. Lovely for snacking and keeping hunger at bay.

The preparation remains in its original order; guided mode is not available for this structure.
I choose firm persimmons. Apple persimmons or black ones called pepper persimmons can be used, but ordinary ones are fine too. I wash and dry them.

I remove the stalk area and slice about 2/3 mm thick.

I line dehydrator trays with perforated baking paper, using air-fryer liners.

I arrange slices without overlapping.

I prepare and stack all trays and cover.

I run the dehydrator at 40/50°C for 15 hours, rotating trays occasionally. Check the slices are thoroughly dry.

I cool and divide into food bags. The original says they keep a long time if fully dehydrated.

I make small bags, lovely as gifts or portable snacks.
