Simple aperitif pastries with fresh cheese and spicy salami, or other fillings, including sweet apple and sultanas.
INGREDIENTS
1 puff pastry sheet
Spicy salami
Fresh Caciotta
1 egg
Poppy seeds
Sesame seeds
I unroll pastry.
I cut 5 x 25 cm strips.
I add salami pieces towards the edge.
Cheese pieces.
I roll up.
I make a tight, sealed roll.
I coil it.
Into a pinwheel.
I secure with a long skewer to prevent opening.
I beat a whole egg.
I brush pinwheels.
I scatter poppy and sesame seeds.
I bake at 180°C for 15/20 minutes.
For birthdays or aperitifs, stick skewers into a pumpkin for presentation.
