Ingredients and method

The preparation remains in its original order; guided mode is not available for this structure.

A fresh, tasty Greek salad, quick to make. Feta is now available in all supermarkets.
INGREDIENTS
1 pack feta
1 cucumber
10 medium tomatoes
1/2 red onion
20 Greek black olives
Mixed salad leaves or your preferred salad
Oregano
Salt and pepper
Extra virgin olive oil
Vinegar, if liked
I peel the cucumber.
I cut it into slices half a centimetre thick.
I put it in a colander with a little salt for half an hour to release liquid and remove bitterness. Skip this step if preferred.
I slice the onion and soak for half an hour in water with a tablespoon of vinegar to mellow it. This step is optional too.
I wash the tomatoes and cut into wedges.
I open the feta, dry it and dice it.
I put salad leaves, cucumber and some tomato wedges in a bowl.
I add some onion.
I add olives and feta cubes, alternating until all the ingredients are used.
I finish with oregano, a little salt because feta is already salty, pepper, extra virgin olive oil and a little vinegar.
Some serve the feta as a whole piece on top; I prefer convenient cubes.
