Delicious, soft and full of flavour. I used figs from my garden tree that I dried this summer. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack with tea or a lovely cappuccino. Use whichever flour you prefer, such as wholemeal or spelt. The original suggests it for people with lactose intolerance: it contains little oil, and cow's milk can be replaced with soya milk.
