Ingredients and method

The preparation remains in its original order; guided mode is not available for this structure.

Wonderful nibbles for drinks. I used chicken frankfurters, but choose whichever you prefer. Quick to prepare and, I promise, irresistible.

INGREDIENTS

1 RECTANGULAR SHEET OF PUFF PASTRY

3 LARGE CHICKEN FRANKFURTERS

MUSTARD

WHITE AND BLACK SESAME SEEDS

LINSEEDS

POPPY SEEDS

1 EGG YOLK OR MILK

MAYONNAISE AND KETCHUP

I lay out the pastry and divide into 4 pieces. I spread mustard on each and place the frankfurters on top. I trim the overhanging ends and piece them together on the fourth piece of pastry; they fit perfectly.

I beat an egg yolk with a splash of water.

I tightly wrap the pastry around each frankfurter and brush all over with egg, or use milk instead.

I sprinkle with all the seeds.

I cut each roll into 4 pieces.

I arrange the bites well apart on baking paper.

I bake at 200°C for about 15/20 minutes. Check them: they should be puffed and golden.

I served them for drinks and an informal supper, with mayonnaise and ketchup or sauces of your choice. A spicy Mexican sauce works well. They taste much better warm.
