Ingredients and method
The preparation remains in its original order; guided mode is not available for this structure.
Pancakes are a typical American recipe with countless variations; this is one of them. Excellent for breakfast or an afternoon snack with jam, Nutella, maple syrup or yoghurt, they appeal to adults and children alike.
INGREDIENTS FOR 10/12 PANCAKES
125 g flour
25 g butter
2 eggs
200 g fresh milk
6 g baking powder
15 g sugar
Fruit jam of your choice
Maple syrup
I melt the butter in the microwave.
I separate the eggs, putting the yolks in one bowl and the whites in another.
I whisk the yolks with an electric whisk, gradually adding the melted butter.
I add the milk and keep whisking.
I add the flour.
I add the baking powder.
Finally, still whisking, I add the sugar.
Separately, I whisk the egg whites to stiff peaks.
I gently fold them into the batter.
The batter should be smooth and uniform.
I heat a non-stick frying pan, grease with a little butter and add small portions of batter, making round shapes.
Small bubbles will soon begin to form.
I then turn the pancakes with a spatula.
They should be golden on both sides.
I served mine with blueberry jam.
